Dumb question...
Hey guys, a little trivia for ya. I have a 91 S-10 with a major fuel problem...I'm not getting any. So, I have decided to raplace the fuel pump. I know it would be easier to remove the bed than to try and drop the gas tank so that is what I am going to do. But I got under the truck today and got looking at it and was a little confused by the bolts holding the bed on. Are the holes threaded and how hard is it to get it to line back up?
Thanks guys.
Adam

In my opinion, it would be WAY easier to drop the tank. 2 bolts, and a couple fuel lines. The bed is welded to the body, so you would be removing the entire rear body of the truck.
Are you sure it needs a fuel pump? have you checked fuses, the relay, and made sure you had 12v at the pump?

I am almost absolutely completely unsure of what the hell the problem is. haha
The truck willcrank up and run for a few minutes then shut off. It is a 91 4.3 with the TBI. When it shuts off you can try and crank it and watch the injectors and they are not even spraying. If you let it sit for several hours and try it again it will crank again and run for a few more minutes. I called Auto Zone today and they have a fuel pump for 49.99 so I was going to try that but if you have any other suggestions I am open to anything.
Thanks,
Adam

I dont know if you figured this one out yet but i wood follow the line of its not the pump just because it will fire up at all have you checked the fuel filter if i is not letting the fuel through at a good rate you will get loss of presure at the TB.
