Sorry Guys, My 1995 has the Vacuum tubes... I looked at them last night... I have owned 7 S10's, Blazers and their GMC Bretheren... including a 2001 S10 and a 2002 Jimmy
Just never tore into those Like I have had to do on this 1995.... which was my sons first vehicle and has migrated to my house... probably because it needs to be fixed.

Yeah, it was a blast from the past. The rigs were not as easy to drive as now, butt drivers were paid much more then currently. A newbie driver for say Swift Transportation will only make $35 000, at best per, year. Lots of that will go down the drain at the truck stops who overcharge for everything. He'll be lucky to keep 20,000 dollars a year. A seasoned professional driver would never warm a seat for that small amount of change. I drive local, make good money and am home in 24 hours or less. I should have stayed in college and become a full-time tech, but things change in life and I love driving anything alone. I never have a co-driver, and would move on if that happened. I will be retiring soon but will drive part-time, for a few companies that only need seasonal drivers. As for the S-10, I wish Chevy would make a new version as they are still very popular and reliable pickups. Lots of folks don't even need the extra room and larger bed the Chevy Colorado has.

Thankfully we have the worlds largest library available at our fingertips, often in a device that fits in your pocket.

Or if you prefer, printed repair manuals with photos and illustrations are available.

Vacuum tubes are too thin to be hoses, and too hollow to be wires.
