Default Help with issue on my 97 Blazer

Hey all.

While working on my Daughter's 1997 Chevy Blazer(It needed a new heater core and the Multi switch was flakey.) I noticed that one of the connectors to the Multi switch was not there. It has 4 wires and is about 4 inches from the plug that bolts in. I found another one that looks like it goes to a electrical connector on a plastic ring on the bottom of the Steering column. Mine doesn't seem to be there. Not sue if it was never there or my wife may have broke it when she was working on it. Right now the car has a constant tone. Like the one that is there for when you leave the key in the ignition. It also sounds like the fuel pump is constantly running. While I am glad that the Heater core is fixed, I really should have only tackled one issue at a time. Thanks for any help you can give me. Can anyone identify this for me? Or tell me if it doesn't exist on my year so that I can stop chasing my tail.

Thanks for any help.

James
