Default How do I time my engine?

I'm replacing the belts on my 1984 s10 with the 2.0 engine. I want to know how to time my engine. I've never timed an engine before. I do have a timing light. Anyone have some advice or tips to give me as well?

Also what are my pulley torque values for when I'm retensioning the belt?

If you are just changing the belts you dont need to adjust timing. Unless you just want to check it, go to a parts store and pick up a haynes/chiltons manual.
