it wont start when i turn the switch, i can short the starter n ill work, changed the stater it is now doing the same thing, i was going to change the wiring harnes on the key ignition, realy need help here is my only way to go n have a sick mom so i need this truck running in case i need to take mom to the doctor or hospital

 

Your saying, or what I'm reading is it won't crank. Are you shorting a screwdriver across the solenoid post's? If so, I'd say the solenoid needs replaced. I've done a zillion in the past 50 years pulling them apart, and either sanding the disk smooth, or flipping it over. With that, the contact to the disk is probably burned. Solenoids aren' that exspensive
'I guess replacing the starter wasn't replacing the solenoid?
