Interesting Issue
Like my title says I've got a fairly interesting issue. I've got a '96 S-10 w/4.3L w/ 197K on it and when it's the motor's cold I get a miss it only happens when it's cold, the RPMs are at a certain point and when the throttle is at a certain point. If the motors warmed up, RPMs are higher or I give it more throttle it goes away, I have run diagnostics and I'm only getting a P0300 DTC from it. I've half come to the conclusion that my TPS is starting to fail, at that one point, due to wear, but don't have the money to throw a new one on it to check. Any and all ideas are welcome to help me figure this thing out. Thanks ahead of time.
The tps will give a code if its acting up. Try. Unpluging. The tos to see if it runs bad when my TPS went out U couldn't hold the pedal down to get a slow steady speed it just wanted to buck and surge foward happen to have a spare that was on a throttle body I bought months ago from a salvage yard and that solved my problem.
