The Cat needs to be replaced so I ordered a . However, when I climbed under the vehicle I noted that the OEM Cat has an additional hanger next to the front flange just like the . I also note that the also does not have the front hanger just like the MagnaFlow. So my question is: Is the front hanger necessary and if so why doesn't the MagnaFlow nor the Walker come with the front hanger welded in place? Is the front hanger just not necessary or is it expected that you need to take it somewhere to have the additional hanger welded in place?
One would assume a Direct Fit Cat is infact a direct replacement not requiring any additional welding. Anyhow, I already have the MagnaFlow Cat in hand and am wondering if I should go ahead and install it even though it only has the rear hanger but not the front hanger like the original Cat currently in the vehicle.
