I have been returning the favor for over a year now and its oh so wonderful. I have them in my high beams and you know that clicky maneuver that people do to get to cut your brights off? Yeah... I adjusted my projector low beams a little high because I drive on deer-infested rural roads at night. And occasionally people do that to me while I have my low beams on....
You know how when you first click them on, its like at full brightness for about half a second, then goes through the 2-second warmup?
"So you think my low beams are too bright huh? *click* TAKE THAT!!!"
LMAO!!! It never gets old..

Sorry... I have had too many Mountain Dews this morning..

I can recall when temporarily flashing high-beams was a courtesy signal to oncoming vehicles that I was having difficulty seeing my way.

You say you intentionally maladjusted your low-beams so YOU can see better ... this sounds self-serving and dangerous, especially on narrow two-lane roads.

One can hope for your sake the only future obstacles you encounter are deer, and not some other motorist who is temporally blinded by your antics.

The real fun would (will?) be when you blind some law-enforcement dude.

Ya know, thats awful belittling...maybe you shouldn't jump the gun in insulting the administrator when theres a high possibility that you are reading more into something more than what it is.

I said a little high.. I did not say too high. Have you ever seen an adjustment chart? Ok. Then you should know that the acceptable zone has a range. I set my projectors at the high end of that range.
I also said "occasionally" which means... "once in a while". Most of the time when cresting a hill. Also, you flick back to let them know that your low beams are on. When I flick back... hell theres no doubt that my highs were off.

Before I adjusted em... I was 2 for 2 on deer with the Blazer. The first one I hit, I just took off a little fur. The second one wasn't so lucky, I had to replace about 4 of the gap clips that hold the grille on.
Since then, I'm 0 for 3. Some of that credit has to go to my headlights.

Sorry if I seem sarcastic, but I take it as an insult when someone implies that I'm stupid and participate in "antics" wile on the road.

EvansBlue ... the last thing I want to do is offend an "Administrator".

So, I tell you what, why not provide your post and my response ... as written ... to other "Administrators" and perhaps a team lead, supervisor or whoever rides herd on you folks for their opinion on the back and forth.

If they say you are on the straight and level, and no rational person could interpret your remarks as I did, let me know, and I'll take it all back and gracefully retire from your forum.

I'm no mind-reader but I can read writing, and it seemed to me your intent was to intimidate on-coming drivers with your super-bright headlamps.

After all you did say ...

I'm gonna ignore the fact that Administrator is in quotation marks. You can generalize and sling mud all day... I don't care.

I don't want you to leave the forum, you provide help after all. Not over a misunderstanding anyway. I learned this the hard way: Better to ask what someone means than to assume and get into an argument about it. Get rid of the hair trigger. No one likes to see people fly off the handle.
