Default My S10 seats slide backwards no matter where i put them!

Hey guys,

I have a 2000 chevy S10 and the seats always slide backwards after you scoot them forward. They dont even lock at all! and it really sucks when i have my younger brother in the back jump seat because the passenger seat squishes him. Sometimes it works when you push the handle down so it kinda locks in place but after a little bit it just slides back again. ugh its so annoying! i have just gotten used to being far back when i drive because neither seat stays locked.

If anyone could help/tell me how to fix it that would be great!

In my case, the passenger side needs to slide all the way back HARD. It clicks in, then acts as normal.

Check the spring that returns the handle to the lock position. It probably broke or became disconnected.
