Yup, I'd start with a Flowmaster 40 and I slowly built up my stereo system.

Well if it's the 2.2L I4, the 40 series won't have enough back pressure to keep the gas milage happy. So I'd recomend using their 60 series. If you're serious about performance, just go with a Gibson exhaust. Have you thought about tail lights, H.I.D.s (I got an EXTRAset laying around $125 shipped), spray in/rolled in bed liner, tonnue cover, clear corners, stereo, M3 side view mirrors, billet grille, cold air intake, iridium plugs. There are a bunch. Check out what I did to mine at http://www.cardomain.com/id/shnormo05

slotted and drilled rotors http://www.r1conecpts.com
k2motor.com for the side view mirrors and clear corners or xtralights.com

shnormo, nice upgrades on your s10

Agreed, the first mod I did was exhaust, I went with a very basic Magna flow catback (like $100) well worth it, probably not the BEST of performance, but did help with Gas mileage and torque (4.3)

for quick improvements I also did K&N throughout. these two gave the v6 enough to pull a 18' boat with no issues including no oeverheating etc....

esthetically, there are tons of upgrade around the net.

Headlights? Rhino lining? carpet? What in the heck "mods" is that. Do some real mods.

After your muffler change, grab a set of headers if it's a v8 conversion. If not, screw the air intake mess at the moment.
GRAB A HEADER and boom you have a full exhaust upgrade. Afterwards, start by flashing your ECU and grab a comp cam with at least 520 .520 lift.

Screw the radio system mess, get a grant steering wheel, drop your ride a couple inches with some "Strange" struts and shocks.
Then smack you an air intake if your a TBI guys EWW but oh well.
