I have a 2003 Chevy 2 door 4X4 automatic Blazer that has developed an oil leak. I have noticed a few drops before, but today I have a puddle. The puddle is right in the front/inside of the left front tire and is dripping off the stabilizer bar. Probably should have waited till I could take a closer look, but also thought I might get some feedback here. Oil seems to be dispersed on the left side and low on the motor and wheel well area.

Examine it closely and see if you can follow the oil trail to find the source. You can also clean it, start the engine and see where it is coming from. Also check the oil filter for leaks.

 

Thanks, Stopping by my local garage tonight so they can put it on a lift and take a closer look than what I can see lying on my back on the driveway. The oil filter was the first thing I checked and was hoping it was loose. Unfortunately it was not the source.

 

I had this problem once and it seems as if the oil return lines going from your oil filter to your radiator and or engine
have small metallic and rubber washers that fail after awhile. it remove all of those and check for cracks.
If they seem alright, pull the oil return from under the engine and there is a thick robber seal there that may also be worn out.
