Default oil leak problem

my rear main seal is leaking oil in my 82 s-10... it don't leak that bad but when it does it drips on to my manifold and starts to smoke. Is there something i can do to stop it from leaking for a little bit until i have time to replace it?

oil stop leak usually works pretty good provided the seal isn't too bad. It usually takes about 500km to start working though

yes the rear oil pan seal is in the same place as the rear main ,you need to identify which it is take the dust cover off the transmission and look to see if there is fresh sign's at the rear main running down ! you have to know were the leak is before you can make a plan of attack .
