Oil Lines
Well my 99 4wd jimmy has the dreaded oil adapter leak. I replaced the oil cooler lines that were leaking to avoid the inevitable blow out of the lines which junks a lot of 4.3L engines out there. But I also noticed that my oil filter adapter at the engine block right above the front diff is leaking quite a bit. I've been doing some research and have read that removing the adapter and adapter to filter lines are next to impossible.
I was wondering if anyone here has replaced those lines and/or the oil filter adapter o-ring and gasket, maybe there's a trick to it that I'm not seeing.
My plan is to just remove the front axle (about 4 bolts after the axle shafts and drive shaft are out) This will free up tons of space and make it very easy to replace those lines and re-seal the adapter but its a ton of work, especially when your laying on your back on the floor.
