I have a 71 Olds Cutlass and about a year ago I had the engine replaced. The power steering pump came of of an 80's era chevy pickup but thats about all I know. Could a Cutlass power steering pump be compatible with this type of engine?

I think the pump would be the same . The reservoir and brackets may be different . But the pump its self can be replaced keeping everything else .You can physically match or lay the two out and look at them. Call a local salvage yard or parts store and cross check them.
