I have an 03 chevy blazer. and i'm looking to put a new radio in it. but when i went to buy a new radio and everything. one of the employees told my dad and i that if we didn't install the radio a certain way the air bags will i guess be turned off. so if i get into an accident they wont deploy? My dad and i have never heard of the radio having any effect of the air bags.

could the guy have just been trying to get us to spend more money? or is this actually true?
