do you have a auto or a clutch? I have a 91 4.3 4x4 20 gal, I get 18,19 highway. If it is auto make sure you are going into overdrive. If it is and you don't have push button overdrive, 1,2,3,d with and o aroung it drive it in d. It will not run overdrive untill it is ready to.
