Default s-10 heater issues

Ihave a 96 s-10 blazer andI cant get any kind of real heat in the vehicle when it gets below 35 degrees. I have replaced the thermostat twice thinking that the 1st one may have been defective or bad( you know, man made, mass produced, prone to failure) and I still cant get any heat. I have talked with coworkers who have the same problems with their blazers as well.Is this a problem I have to get used to or is there some simple fix that can be done to remedy this problem?

I hope to hear from someone soon to help me with this.

Regards,

A lot of times flushing will only temporarily fix it. The ionized particles that you sometimes find around the mouth of the radiator is what causes the blockages. You may want to do a full system flush.
