my 2000 s10 will not start unless I hold down the gas pedal and it will not idle. I can drive it as it is a 5 speed but I stall at stop signs....lights etc. It starts right back up....but soon I will need to replace my starter if it keeps this crap up. It seems to me like the fuel pump is louder than before also. 2 years ago I had this problem replaced the IAC control motor and I was good to go....but I dont recall the fuel pump whining before....where should I start ...?? Checking the plug and cleaning the IAC first? then testing it? Or focus on the fuel pump?

 

I'd focus on the fuel filter first
