S10's were actually produced beginning in 82.
Starting in 83 they added Cal. emissions (ECM), and 4x4's (T model), and the 2.0 liter engine. They came out with the 2.5 in 85, which was the first FI model, and discontinued the 2.0. All models were Fuel Injected beginning in 86. They added the 4.3 in 88. The first MFI turbo came out on the 4.3 in 91. The first CMFI came out on the 4.3 in 93.
