First time posting here. I've owned a GM vehicle ever since I've had a drivers license and I've owned an S-10 pickup since 1997. The first was a 84 2wd lb reg cab 2.8l. GMC s15. In 03 I got the current 96 reg cab sb 4.3l. Both very good pu's. My friend has a 1989 reg cab sb 4x4 that has a few issues. I'm guessing it needs an Ignition switch,4x4 actuator,digital bezel needs replaced,suspension wheels tires etc... mine also has its issues with 290k on the clock but runs as smooth as it did new. I'm in NC where emissions are met on 96 & up so with the 89 I won't have to worry with that. Also I need a 4wd for a backup to my F250. Hopefully you guys can help me if I have issues to deal with. I'm going to swap out in the next couple weeks.
