Transmission compatibility question
Good evening, all!
Just a quick question for the resident auto-magic transmission experts:
I just had to replace the 4L60e in my 1997 S10 Franken-Truck. The particular trans I installed was an '02, and the lockup solenoid is not functioning.
My understanding is that Chevrolet changed the lockup from on/off to gradual application in 2000, and I'm wondering if that's what's causing my issue- the ECU looking for a direct connection to the solenoid, and not getting it because of the control circuitry for the gradual application?
Or does the used trans just have a bad internal harness/solenoid?
