service engine soon light periodicaly going on and off
i have a 1988 2.5L 5 speed s10 and while i am driving the service engine soon light comes on for 30 seconds then off for about 30 seconds. what could cause this?

You should try to find out if it's throwing a code. OBD1 if you don't have a reader, you'll have to jumper the a-b (I believe) at the reader connector, and count the number the ses light flashes.
