Hi I have a 98 blazer that wouldn't shut off when I turn the key off it would run until I pulled the battery! So I figured maybe I had a bad ignition switch replaced that and now my fuel pump radio and headlights all come on without the key in the ignition! I also have tried 2 ignition switches with the same results! It starts up runs good shuts off pull the key close the door stuff turns back on. Anyone have any ideas to help me out?

 

You have a short somewhere. Finding it may be difficult. Look at all the wires around the ignition switch for any bare wires or damaged wires. Does the stuff turn back on with any door closing or just the drivers door?

 

I guess I haven't tried to open and slam any other doors shut it does turn on when I close the hood though I checked the pcm plugs nothing looks burned at the plugs! I was wondering if it could be the lock cylinder I know it turns and I can pull the key out but could it be its not actually turning all the way off before I pull the key out?
