I know its not much but this it my baby. Its an 03 silverado 1500 WT 4x4. It has the vortec 4.8L v8. It has 186,000 miles on it. It has all original parts except for the water pump and alternator. It has been a great truck and I am very proud of it. It has true dual straight pipes with no mufflers just factory cats. My only modification right now is a K&N air filter.

I just traded my '03 in, for a 2013 Silverado. It was pretty good truck, but here in WI the wheels and bumper rusted pretty bad. Still ran well with 136k miles.
Are you in an area where they use road salt?

 

Simple is better! Lookin good! The rust happened to a buddy of mine too, he lives in South Dakota.

 

hey guys can you point me to the thread about changing a transmission on a silverado like this one? still looks nice for 18600 miles should last you a bit longer.

That is an awesome truck you have out there...the front end is pretty majestic and imposing.

 

They do use road salt in the winter. I live in southern Illinois out in the country so the winters get pretty bad sometimes. I always tried to wash it off any time I could.

 

Thanks everybody. It was a great truck. I had to sell it because I drive an hour a day for work and it got 16 MPG at the best. If anybody wants to know, I got an 07 toyota corolla s 5 speed. It has 75,000 miles on it and gets 42mpg. I know its an import, but you gotta do what you gotta do...
