Default need help with drive shaft length

hey guy i'm new to this forum. i have a 85 square boy pickup that i'm converting to a 4 wheel drive. i have a 700r4 already in it and built a new one and rebuilt a np205 transfer case to go with it, a 14 bolt ff axle.

does any one know want the drive shaft length is?

as of right now the wheels measure 132" center to center, and i've done some of the math and i'm getting a rough 64'' but i'm hoping someone already knows

thats going to be a rare combo as most 700r4s got paired with the 208. where did you find that setup? did you get the trans rebuild or built?

Tape measure, spline to spline, and go to a drive shaft shop, not only will it be custom built, but will need to be balanced.

I believe kevin is right on this one-I went down this road on a shaft for my 91 k5 with 14 bolt and 6" lift-I contacted a driveline shop and the vehicle has to be in running order so that the suspension is loaded and they will have you measure from a certain point on the yoke of rear axle to the tailshaft of the transmission-it is going to cost a little but a pretty good idea-especially if you are going to add some horsepower and lift-some places can even make you a shaft with cv joints instead of u-joints.
