What type of tranny do i need

I have a 2wd v8 1500 stepside chevy. Im trying to purchase a transmission. I dont know what types there are or what i specifically need for my chevy.

I think i need a 4l60e tranny?

PLEASE FEED ME KNOWLEDGE
