Silverado A/C controls

Hi, My A/C controls in my 2008 chevy silverado started fading out about
4 years ago! is this another chevy quality issue? or is just me?

I haven't seen the numbers on the display fade out like that, but the arrows and the buttons for sure so it...the whole thing can be replaced for daily cheap
