New-to-us 2011 GMC Yukon XL Denali, just purchased Friday. Turns out that this does NOT have the integrated brake controller system, D'oh !!! Even though it has a Class 3 tow hitch and 7-pin connector all installed, need a brake controller for the horse trailer.

So even though I have installed these in the past, I'm having a trailer place install one in this pristine 73K vehicle.

 

Shop apparently knew what they were doing, Mrs. Cusser says the new brake controller works fine.

 

My '11 LTZ Tahoe has every option, and I mean every option, power steps, DVD, Bose, etc. except the factory trailer brake controller. Glad my big trailers have surge brakes.

 

To me, every powered do-dad is another thing that can go wrong. No power steps on our 2011 (unless Mrs. Cusser hasn't discovered that yet). And I could live with manual hatch like on our 2005.
