Default GM Trailer Brake Controller

Has anyone put in the OEM Trailer Brake Controller? I didn't know if it was possible. Does anyone have a photo of the controller already installed? I have seen it on a 2009 GMC 2500HD and I assume its the same unit.

Default Brakes

I was told on this very forum that you can't add it... I don't know if that's 100% true or if it would just be more hassle to add the GM one than an aftermarket.

I have it built in to my 09 and its nifty, however I don't have any trailers w/electric brakes... yet... I am rebuilding my boat trailer this winter and hope to own a large trailer for my Jeep, which will have brakes...

It's integrated to the DIC and other vehicle parts from what I've seen and read...
