Trailer brake controller
Can anyone recommend a trailer brake controller? I'm going to be pulling a 2000# trailer (with brakes on both axles) and a 3100# car. Someone suggested a Tekonsha Prodigy. Any feedback on this unit or suggestions for something else?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I and others use the Jordan controller http://www.bestbrakecontroller.com/ which is a positive cable controller that connects to the brake pedal, no pendulums etc. The only problem is they are developing a new controller which will allow you to mount the control unit anywhere, using a phone cable connection and it is not quite ready yet, and they are sold out of the previous version. They have literally hundreds of customers waiting for the new unit. I personally have not found a better unit.
I have the Tekonsha Prodigy unit. It works well...has brake boost and a manual braking ability if the trailer starts swaying (and helpful down mountains).

Tekonsha Prodigy is what I purchased last year to towmy 26' Flagstaff t.t.(6,500#)with my Commander. I have yet to install it on my Tahoe, but it worked very well for me...just need to re-install it into the HOE.
