Default Rear lift gate

Hello,
I have a 2015 Suburban. The lift gate opens with what seems to be no restrictions at all full open then immediately shuts like we hit the button, but we didn't or were not standing there to accidentally hit the foot sensor.
I changed out both shocks about 1 year ago as they were previously shot and clicking.

Any other ideas what to look at ?

Thank you

Welcome from Florida. I would look at the shocks again.

Similar happened (suddenly) on our 2011 Yukon lift gate; I fixed by replacing both lift supports, the existing ones were just a little too weak to hold the lift gate up.
