1992 Camaro rs 5l tbi fuel pump issue
Hi I am new to these forums but I am currently having an issue fixing my car because I can’t get my fuel pump to turn on and send fuel to the injectors. This car model is very odd and I can’t seem to find anything I need about this model, the car ran just fine before it was put away a few years ago, there was fuel in the lines when I cracked them and the injectors dripped fuel when I applied power to it but the fuel pump doesn’t seem to kick on, we recently changed the fuel filter so now all the gas is out of the lines. I tried to jump my fuel pump through the obd1 aldl but I noticed that my fuel pump pin isn’t in the same spot as every other year and I don’t want to mess with it and break anything by running jumper wires. I checked all the fuses and they are fine, just need some opinions on my next step before I drop the rear end and access the pump or mess with the ecm
On some vehicles, there may be a fuel pressure sensor built into the fuel line or on the pump itself. If this sensor detects incorrect pressure, it can prevent the pump from working properly or even activating. Check this sensor if it is present and make sure it is working properly.
