Default GMT800 (2006 GMC sierra slt) Audio system troubles

The story:

Hello everyone. I've recently bought a sierra about 2 months ago ago and I've been basically rebuilding the interior. It has the BOSE audio system, currently not sure if it has a subwoofer. When I got it the radio was missing and it had an insane "custome" wiring job for the aux amazon amp. So first things first, I got a junkyard radio, I just pulled one out of a trailblazer I think it was, or a Tahoe, I had to find one that specifically could work with the eepromm bypass. Next I desoldered eepromm, went to test sound output and it was superfaint, gofigure, the inputs for the radio weren't connected to the amp they had installed, but i at least know for sure the radio is outputting something right? so I went and found the wiring harness out of the same truck with the same amp and bose sound system, spent a good hour resoldering the wires that go up into the console, I had cut the ones out of the donor truck and same for mine, hooked everything up and there's zero sound, not even general noise, just nothing. So I figured my Bose factory amp was cooked so I went back to the same truck and pulled that one out, hooked it up and still no sound. So now I'm a little stumped, either both of these amps are done for or the radio I pulled doesn't work. I wanted to ask yall a few questions before I start Jerry rigging a test rig and probing the wiring harness

My questions:

In the radio wiring harness, the previous owner snipped what I think is the "Radio signal on" cable and spliced it into what I think is a ground? It's a black wire that goes into the air control unit, All I did was solder the cable back into the wiring harness, could there possibly be anything wrong here?

I also mentioned that I resoldered the amps wiring harness, it's a bunch of 6 cables that branch off the main harness, I know for sure I have a solid connection and didn't confuse any of the colored ones, there are however 2 blacks and 2 oranges, these don't happen to each be it's own specific line right?

I do know where I can find a pinout of the radio and amp connectors, I'm wondering if anyone has a sheet that might show certain ohms or voltage values when probed.

With this bose sound system, is it possible that you just can't plug and play any head unit? Does it specifically have to be the Bose radio head?

Thank you all for your time!
