2003 Express 3500 6.0 - can't stop misfire on cylinder 2
I have a completely dead misfire on cylinder 2 caused by lack of spark. I have swapped the plug, coil, and plug wire with known goods, the problem stays on 2. I had access to a known good valve cover wiring harness, so I changed it out but no change. From that harnesses, I followed the main bundle all the way back to the engine computer and checked for damage conductors, corrosion or bent pins on the bundle terminating at the computer, no problems noted. I located the schematic and see three of the four wires on each ignition coil connector are shared by the entire bank and I verified with a ohm meter that the 12vdc source, ground, and reference ground were the same across the entire banks four coil connectors. I also used a LED test probe and see flashing on the control line for the #2 coil which looks similar to the other 3 cylinder control lines. I do not have a scope so I cannot say if the amplitude is high enough on #2. I did order a used computer today thinking the only thing left is a weak dri er circuit. For now thats my only hope unless someone has ran across this circumstance before and has suggestion for troubleshooting steps I may have missed.
thanks in advance
