2000 Silverado 1500 tire toe out
Hi everyone. I've recently been working on my truck myself as I've had to learn how and I changed the tie rods this past weekend. Job went smoothly and didn't think much of it. Now the steering wheel is straight but the truck jerks to one side or the other if I hit a bump and it's clear my toe is not where it should be. I don't have the extra money to take it in for an alignment at the moment, but driving like this is killing me. Anyone have any any advice as to how to change the toe without taking it somewhere? And please spell it out in crayon as I am very new to all of this and am not very good with math. Anything will be appreciated 👍🏻

The string method will get you buy for now but it’s not nearly as accurate as a proper alignment on a rack.
There are several variations - you can modify the procedure slightly to suit your needs and/or budget.
