Default 2004 cab window shields.

Will removal of these four rain/wind plastic window shields help lessen highway road noise?

And will it peel the vehicle paint on removal? Any suggestions on a solvent that might work better to melt the adhesive rather than 'dry' peeling them off?

What about removing the hood bug screen...will that help reduce road noise as well?

Thanks

with some patience, a bit of heat and isopropyl alcohol you can gently remove those, but I don't think it'll make a noticeable difference. Trucks just aren't the most aerodynamic things.
Fixing your bumper might help.

I concur wholehearedly. The shields do give my vehicle a slightly sporty look, and I do not wish to trifle with alcohol, swabs, touch up, and all that tommy rot. A fine kettle of fish and all ahoo, looking like Batholomews Fair. Lol

Seriously? I suspect you jest... highly doubtable that even the most grossly disfigured bumper would ever create any noticable road noise...

Frankly, there is nothing wrong with the bumper. A quick glance at the fender well, looking forward, will show you that the top edge of the topmost curve of the bumper is firmly and perfectly aligned and seated, matching identically with, the curved metal bracket, from the frame, secured with bolts, and there's absolutely no untoward gap that the manufacturer did not intend. Both sides are uniformly matched, port and starboard.

It might be the reflection of the camera or the angle but I assure you the bumper is perfectly intact and aligned.

It could well be that this beautifully purring engine with the finely tuned massive dual exhaust give it some extra bit of noise, but I would not have it otherwise. This is a beautiful running Z-71 to be sure. I could not be more pleased.

I did install some very nice chrome curved-end running boards that set off the gray mist sparkle paint beautifully.

It's an 04 K-1500 Z-71, 5.3 with only 146,000 miles on it.

I traded my 2008 Honda Odyssey with 248,000 miles that needed tires, brakes, an AC that was petering out, splotched peeling roof paint, and $1,000 cash.

Good trade, as the lady wanted a 9 seat team soccer van, leather seats and TV, and I wanted a pick up. The truck was her father's, recently passed, and her being so tiny and at 5'4" had difficulty driving it, so it worked out great for both of us.

I jest not.
Your bumper is clearly messed up, and yes out of place body trim can make noise.
