can anybody help me with a 04 siverado, it has a built in electric trailer braking system, but when you push on the brake pedal, no signal is being sent out of the box under the dash where you plug the brake pig tail in to

have you checked all your wiring connections?

There is no wires to check (on my side). The problem is right at the eletrical box its self. There is no signal coming out of the panal when the brake pedal is pushed. I even tested another truck to make sure that i was tested the right place.

could it be the box that is bad? how did it function when you tried it in the other truck?

When i tested it on the other truck, it had 12volt coming from the pin(when you pushed the brake pedal down) that would contact the plug in the area that was wired to go to the brake pedal wire on the back of the electric brake controler.

On my 2500Hd there is a fuse block under the hood on the driver side with the trailer brake fuse in it. Mine didnt have a fuse in it .I had to install it myself.
