1985 k10 canadian?
I have 1985 k10 with a 305 and I decoded the vin and it says that it was made in canada. Are there any differences to the one made in america or are they the same and just assembled in different places?

Many Silverado trucks (among myriad other vehicles) are assembled in Canada. This is easy to tell, as your VIN will begin with a '2'. USA assembly VIN tags always start with 1, 4 or 5. 3 indicates Mexico, J is for Japan, S is Sweden, K indicates Korea, etc., etc.
My 2004 hails from Canada, too.

Nope. Even if it was built in Canada (or Mexico for that matter), the vehicle will still have to meet US DOT, NHTSA & EPA standards. Same goes for a vehicle made in Korea, England, Italy or Germany that is exported to the USA.
Likewise, US-built vehicles sold in Latin America, Asia, Africa or Europe have to meet THEIR standards before customers over there can purchase them.
