Default 2008 Silverado door lock issues

Hello, I was curious if anyone has had an issue with a door not locking or unlocking, either with the key fobe or the manual door lock inside the truck. I just noticed the rear door behind the driver side is not locking or unlocking. I have to manually push the lock down and up. Anyone have any fixes?

2008 Siverado LT Crew Cab.

Thanks

It sounds like a short or disconnected wire in the rear door or where the wire leads to. I'd start by taking off the rear door panel and checking and cleaning the electrical connections.

I have the same problem with the same door on my 2007 Suburban. I'm testing this out now. All other doors work fine

this isnt completely related. but ive broke 3 of my cast iron handles in my 97 suburban. they begin to stretch and then can no longer give you enough pull to open the door. so you want to pull harder... this means youre going to need to replace them pretty soon.... :/ haha

aspenpup,

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. Have you had your dealership replace the actuator?

Thank you,

My 2008 crew cab driver door switch locks/unlocks all doors when the door is closed but will not lock or unlock any doors when open. Passenger door switch locks/unlocks all doors whether it is open or closed. Any ideas?

hi chuckman. Most likely the wires inside your door harness are broken and need to to be repaired or replaced.
