Default 4WD problems on 2007 silverado (new style)

For some reason my 2007 Silverado LT only goes into four wheel auto and four wheel high once in a while. The indicator light lights up but the truck stays in 2WD. Any Ideas?

If you still have warranty take it to the dealer and theyll look at it. How many miles is on the truck ?

possibly the actuator not shifting or the motor in the t-case

things can go bad at any time. mine went out around 85k.
