85 C10 Weather Stripping
I have a 85 C10 Silverado , that has power windows with a vent[wing] window. I am replacing the window channel seal on both doors windows. I have tried 3 different seals from LMC ,JC Whitney, Precision ,etc...The seals I got are the type you squeeze together and slide into the channel. All brands I assume are universal. When i contacted them about this they said to trim it. But once you trim it , it looses its stability. They are all to thick that causes the window to not operate.I tried lubricating the inside of the rubber and felt coating too. The type I need, like the original, appears to be a "U" shape that snaps into the door window channels. Does anybody out there have this same issue? If you got it to work please explain how you did it!Or even better, if anybody knows where to go for this exact fit and style the original fit please tell me where1Thanks

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your weather stripping replacement. Some of the universal kits do not work as well as they should. You may want to look at the attached article on some ideas for the repair.
