89 silverado 2 batterys
when i bought my use silverado I noticed it had a spot for a second battery . I have posted a think on this truck blowing fuse when I use the heater I am wondering could it be blowing fuses because its trying to get to much power and blowing fuses. should i put in a second battery?.. and please if anyone can help me would be great cant drive the truck when is snow if we dont have heat.

How fast does the fuse blow?
If almost instantly then maybe you have an open winding or the compressor is grounding out.
If the fuse does not blow instantly... Or even if it does you may have a wire grounding out.
Puting in a 2nd battery won't do anything cuz the compressor is running off the engine.
