Hi all, new here. Names Adam. Talked my dad into giving me his truck when he gets a new jeep here soon. Couple of questions.

1) Smokes more than Willie Nelson, burns oil. Any ideas for "quick fixes", or just buy a re-manufactured motor?

2) Good sites to buy accessories for this truck? Brush guards, upgrade skid plates, etc.

This truck is just going to be a toy for me. Hunting, fishing, mudding, winter all that fun stuff. Thanks ya'll

pull the motor, check the piston rings, if there bad that will cause it to burn oil, if you dont want/need to pull the motor do compression tests on all the cylenders, make sure to pull the fuel filter relay/fuse... and are you using regular oil or synthetic, because synthetic is thinner and can cause that too, any problems with leakage? Also if your going to pull the block, check for any cracks in the engine that could cause it too. Btw what kind of motor is it?

and in regards to parts/ accessories try LMC truck they have parts that are oem and direct fit made for the vehicle i've picked up some cool accessories from there, also they have a lot of bolt on ****, electric cooling fans ect. J.C. Whitney is good to for accessories you can pretty much find everything there, and if you dont like the prices just google the name of the product, sometimes they have knockoffs of the same **** on amazon or ebay...just a tip...
