Default 98 k1500 climate control help

Hey guys. I have a 98 k1500 with air. At the end of the winter my mode selector suddenly stopped working. It has been stuck on the floor. So first thing I tried was removing the climate control module and checking all plugs in the back and also bought a new door actuator to replace the actuator right by the gas pedal. Before I removed the old one I turned the blower on and payed down and turned the mode selector to different positions. It moved about a 1/4 inch turn in either direction. This made me think maybe the door was stuck or hung. I removed the actuator but it does the same small turn off of the door and he door can be turned very easily with two fingers to change the air to the desired location. So I plugged the new actuator in and it does the same thing. Almost like it lacks power. So I've been stumped for a couple of months and was going to recharge the ac system even if it does blow on my feet. Went to hit the ac button and no light on it or the recirculation button. Could my entire climate module in the dash be bad? Any info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks
