Default Adding Factory Integrated Trailer Brake???

I have a 2007 (new body style) Silverado 1500, Crew Cab, 5.3L V8 with the tow package. It did not come with the integrated trailer brake. I've been to my local Chevy dealer and they said they've tried to find one for a customer in the past and were unable to do so. They can find the parts/number for the Bolster Panel (the new panel for under the steering column with a trailer brake cut-out) and the trailer brake connector, but they can not find the actual trailer brake controller. They say it can only be added at time of the actual build and that I should just get an after market one. Has anyone here ever added a Factory Integrated Trailer Brake??? Does anyone here know what the part number would be for this part??? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone!!!

I've been doing a lot of research and think I may have solved this problem. The Integrated Trailer Brake was available on the 2007 2500/3500's, but not the 1500. It became available on the 1500's starting on the 2009 models. I had my local Chevy dealer look up the trailer brake as if I had a 2009 1500 and THERE IT WAS. He also looked it up as if I had a 2007 2500HD and THERE IT WAS. They have the exact same part number. I'd like to know if I go ahead and buy these (special order, must pay in advance and no returns) if anyone here knows for sure if it will or will not work. I know that it's 'sposed to display the brake output on you driver information center, so I'm not sure if it would require a software update or if the 2007 1500 nbs is even able to accept the upgrade or display the brake information. Are there any technicians or specialists out there that have any idea???

Here are all the part numbers I've been able to come up with:

The actual INTEGRATED TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER...1592-6102
The bolster panel with the controller cut out...1584-4171
The connector switch to attach your wires to the controller...8904-7352

I know there's someone in here that knows!!!

Much thanks in advance!!!

I haven't a clue. But I'd like to know, I'm going to need the trailer brake controller on my 07 soon enough, and if i could have it installed by the dealer, and it work through the DIC, that would be great.
I gotta hit up the dealer soon for a oil consumption problem on thursday, I'm gonna ask about that.

Went and asked my dealer if I could have the controller installed on my 07. He did look in the computer for awhile and tried to help. He said that everything I need is already there. I couldn't get him to elaborate. But suggested I get an aftermarket, he said it'd be cheaper and easier in the end.
