Question Airbag light 2007 NNBS Silverado

Hi,

My truck spends a month at a time stored sitting outdoors. The last few times after a month sitting my truck displays the service Air Bag system message. This goes on and off for the first few days of using my truck. It is starting to last longer each time. I was thinking it could be a bad ground. Anyone know where the ground is for the Air Bag system or have any other ideas?

2007 New body style Silverado,
Thanks

Try disconnecting the posotive and negetive battery cables and touching them together a couple of times. that should clear your problem,at least it works 99% of the time. Air bag wiring is nothing to fool with if that don't do it bring it in.

So far its been going away on its own but I know the time is coming when it won't. Its always after truck as been sitting for an extended period. Light is then on and off for the first week of using truck again.

You need to have the air bag computer scanned for codes. Once you have the code you will have a place to start looking. Without the code all you are doing is rolling the dice. You could put the names of all air bag related components in a hat and pull one out and have the same results until you know the code.
