Fuse or relay likely went out.
I think your fuse block is on the drivers side of the dashboard facing the door.
And there are some relays under the hood by the windshield wiper fluid IIRC.

When you turn on your headlights, do the back taillights light up?
Maybe you haven't been noticing that 1 by 1 your brakelights have been burning out
Until now when they are all burnt out.

Your problem is 1 of these things, you just gatta look into it to find out which.

Most likely the brake light switch is the problem.

thanks, i do check the brake lights often, and dont think they are burnt. reading thru the search function i see some have had the same problem, and either the brake switch or turn signal switch have been mentioned as the possible culprit. i have to say that i have noticed sporadic issues lately with the turn signals. once it blinked fast as when a bulb is burnt, but it wasnt and have not done it more, and a couple times when you put the signal it feels like it has not engaged (clicked) and i reapply the signal and then it engages.trying to narrow it down so i dont buy the wrong part. after all electrical parts are not returnable.. thanks for your replys.

whats your guess?........do i have to remove the wheel (steering) to replace the signal cam switch?

If the third brake light (high mount) does not work it can not be the turn signal switch. It does not run through the T/S switch. Only the left and right ones do. Third goes from brake switch to light.
