You can get a spring that mounts beneath the antenna, it just screws in, then you can bend it back when you go in the garage.

I had one on my 99 silverado and i got okay reception, but then i mounted two in between the bed and cab on each side and had awesome reception. Bottom line 2 was way better than one, oh and they were 5ft fiber glass.

yeah, i'm gettin good reception with 2 antenna's then i did with just one, eventually i might get bigger ones n either mount them in the bottom of the truck bed or behind the cab
