Default Chevy 1500 Belt Issue

Hey All,
Quick Question,
Today I got home from work, an hour long trip roughly and notice what looked like a wire hanging from under my truck. it was a belt, not sure where it goes or where it came from. Not sure if It got kicked up on the road, or from the construction site I work at. All the belts look in tact from peering into the engine. (I'm not a mechanic of any kind).
I didn't notice any difference in performance or anything, except my AC got a little warmer for whatever that means.
Truck runs, drives, shifts, charges all like normal which has me stumped.
Upon further examination I see an area that maybe looks like a belt should be? But I cant tell what it is, or where it goes, or if it goes. Here is the picture I took. its a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500, 5.3 V8

Problem self solved. Was right that it is directly related to my AC getting warmer.
Its an AC compressor belt
