Is the computer interchangeable between the TBI 305 and TBI 350?

Yes but you must change the prom chip. Also you must change ESCM, knock sensor, and injectors.

sounds liek it would just be easier to put the 350 computer in then...

No the prom chip pops right in. You have to change injectors knock sensor and electronic spark control module no matter what. A new computer is 80 bucks but that is without a prom chip. I reccomend Hypertech streetrunner chip! Or check out Tbichips.com Lots of info on TBi chevys! He will build you acustom chip and has lots of mods to do.
